About me

I'm a wanna be writer who likes to read short story fantasy and science fiction แด–แดฅแด–

The things in life that make me happy are...
Buying a new pair of cotton socks and putting them on while their still soft and fluffy,
Finding an Asian restaurant that does not put onions in everything they serve,
Making it through a whole day without anyone beating on my door wanting something,
1920's and 1930's art-deco furniture and paintings.
I am not very religious and I think that people who use alot of profanity have very small minds.

My greatest pet peeve in life is people who think that if they talk louder that it makes them more right.

About my collections

MY favorite movies are Yojimbo, Ink ,Serenity ,Terminator ,The big Labowski and Alien.

MY favorite scene in a movie is the grave yard scene from 'The good - the bad and the ugly' Tuco running through the graveyard with the music in the background is just hypnotic.

The best short story zombie anthology ever.

Posted : 12 years, 1 month ago on 15 March 2012 12:10 (A review of The Book of the Dead)

What can I say about this book that people haven't already said ??

This anthology covers the bases when it comes to the zombie apocalyptic world , I had read this book when it was First came out (published in 1989 -Bantam books), I am not really into zombie genre but there was some something about this book that compelled me to read it so I decided to check it out and was extremely impressed by the quality of work within this tome .

Before I read this work I would have thought it ludicris to think anyone would have a book of short stories about zombies that would leave an impression on me but this one had.
I think if I had to pin-point one story in this anthology that made me realize that this short story collection was something special it would be 'The good parts',I don't want to ruin it by telling you the details but it is told from the zombie point of view.

If next Halloween you are feeling like you would like to sink your teeth into a ghoulish book I think that this little gem should be your first choice.

A nice low budget film, worth a watch.

Posted : 12 years, 1 month ago on 12 March 2012 12:46 (A review of Ink)

Did I mention it is a low budget flick?
It IS a low budget film and it really shows through in a lot of the scenes but making any movie now-a-days for less than 250,000 dollars will make any film look like a Sci-Fi channel made for TV movie.

I have to mention the music in this film as it really sets the mood throughout the film, dark and melancholy Jamin Winans really hits a homerun in this area, too bad the plot holes in this flick didn't get the same attention as you could fly a jumbo jet through them, I don't want to go into detail as I don't want to ruin it for anyone else who hasn't seen the movie yet but hopefully if this movie is ever re-made by a big name company they will address this problem.

Dispite the low budget , some hammy acting and some really bad camera shots this movie has some heart and I think it would make a good DVD stocking stuffer, if you are not interested in paying 20 bucks to check out an indie movie on DVD try checking HULU out as they have it for free .
